Ferrites are the most popular permanent magnets currently in existence. These magnets are made from a combination of barium ferrite or strontium and iron oxide and demonstrate high coercive force, which indicates good resistance to demagnetization. Ferrites have the lowest cost, which ensures their success in those magnetic applications where outstanding results in the magnitude of the magnetic field are not required. Ferrites have very good corrosion resistance and work steadily in the temperature range from -40 to +250 degrees Celsius. The maximum energy range is from 1.1 to 4.5 MG.
